THREE SIMPLE STEPS

How to scan a QR image

1

Open the image scanner

Click the button and keep the “Image or screenshot” tab selected.

2

Choose your QR image

Select a PNG, JPG or WebP image from your phone or computer.

3

Read and check the result

Review the decoded text, link, WiFi details or contact information before using it.

TROUBLESHOOTING

If the QR image does not scan

Most failures come from image quality or missing parts of the QR pattern. Check these four points before trying again.

Show the complete square

Do not crop the three large corner markers or the blank border around the code.

Use a larger image

Tiny QR codes lose detail. Use the original image instead of a compressed preview.

Avoid blur and glare

If you photographed a printed QR, hold the camera steady and avoid reflections.

Improve contrast

Dark modules on a light background usually scan more reliably than weak or inverted colours.

PRIVACY

Your selected image stays on your device

The QRmakerX scanner reads the image inside your browser. The image is not intentionally uploaded to QRmakerX for decoding. Avoid opening unknown links until you have checked the displayed destination.
